In November 2020, Vice uncovered something deeply troubling: Muslim Pro, the app millions of Muslims trusted for prayer times, had been selling location data to third parties including military contractors. This was not about rivalry. It was about trust in a space that should be sacred. It also revealed something larger. The Islamic app ecosystem had stopped evolving. Innovation had stalled. Design had plateaued. Generic AI tools were producing hallucinated hadith and fabricated rulings. The community deserved something built on authentic scholarship, not shortcuts. IslamIQ is our answer.
